Christian hero in air force, Pakistan
Group Captain Cecil Chaudhry was born on Aug 27, 1941, in a (Roman Catholic) family of Dalwal village located in the Salt Range. Son of veteran photo-journalist F.E. Chaudhry, Group Captain Chaudhry joined the PAF on March 12, 1958, and got commissioned in the GD(P) branch on June 26, 1960.

Group Captain Cecil Chaudhry showed his true colours in the 1965 and 1971 by showing remarkable expertise,unflinching devotion and exemplary courage. The services rendered by the legend were beyond the call of normal duty and contributed a significant share towards PAF achieving air superiority during the Indo-Pak war of 1965. He was part of the famous attack formation which was responsible for the destruction of Halwara.
As an Air Scout, he was awarded his glider pilot’s wings in 1956 by the President of Pakistan, He was one of the distinguished fighter pilots of that time. Iskander Mirza, at a ceremony in Karachi. He was admitted into the Pakistan Air Force Academy on 12 March 1958 and was enrolled in the engineering program. In 1960, he received his double B.Sc. in Aeronautics and mechanical engineering along with becoming an ace fighter pilot upon graduating from the PAF Academy.
