COCKTAIL OF THE DAY… DAY 3

"Making a proper cocktail is an art"

Since today is Friday, the beginning of the weekend.., and a night to definitely indulge yourself… I bring to Steemit an original cocktail, created by yours truly. It was created for a fellow Steemer who we've gotten to from the great content she has contributed to the community. Ladies -- Gentlemen -- STEEMERS… I bring to you -- A FAIRY TALE LIFE...

This is truly an innovative and creative cocktail that will require a little love as you prepare yourself for a little taste of heaven!

Day 3. A FAIRY TALE LIFE

Ingredients:

• 2 oz Titos Vodka
• 1/2 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
• 1/2 oz Cointreau
• 1/4 oz simple syrup
• 1 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• 4-5 Fresh Basil Leaves
• 3 halved orange slices
• 1 Egg White

Preparation:

• In mixing glass muddle orange slices, basil, simple syrup
• Add vodka, cointreau, vermouth, egg white, olive oil
• Dry shake all ingredients for 45-60 seconds
• Add ice to mixing almost to top 
• Shake like a dickens (shake it to break it) for 2 mins
• Strain into chilled martini or cocktail glass
• Garnish with Basil Leaf and 3 drops Angostura bitters

Notes:

• This cocktail requires a few more steps than the first 2 Steemit cocktails but well worth the effort.
• Use a good extra virgin olive oil
• Dry Shake is when we shale a cocktail before we add the ice. We always do this when an egg white is in the recipe.
• Shake the HECK out of it
• When we add the 3 drops of bitters as the garnish (see pic) take a toothpick and just flair out the drops to create the design.

There are not too many places that you can get a cocktail made with Olive Oil, so take advantage of this recipe and be one of the few to enjoy one of these very innovative cocktails. Sit back and enjoy.., you deserve it!
