Variance are beyond excited bring you its first release of 2018, as well as all the other ones we have in store for you, but this isn't about those, this is about "Hengsle" and his phenomenal EP "Eurocrack". This release is special, as with all of our releases, despite us only releasing special music, I cannot emphasise how creative and floor destroying this EP is, each of the tracks are live cuts, no DAW, just machines, and modular synths. First off, we have the namesake for the EP "Eurocrack" a 134 banger with hints of acid and an unmistakable industrial feel, at over 10 mins, it may be the longest track to ever come out on Variance, but you are kept on your toes for the entire track, a phenomenal track with so much variety within. Sticking to 134bpm for the second track Metamorfosis Structure, a much slower build for this track, taking around 3 minutes to kick in, when it does, it will send any techno fan into another world, solid techno, with some industrial vibes lots of time to mix in and out slowly, with some incredible progressions, its hard to believe this was recorded live. Moving on to M.O.R.D.O, the track that sparked off this EP, the first track Hengsle sent to us, you can hear why we needed more, its an absolute banger of a track, with busy percs and an absolutely mental synth, as the track progresses it gets more intense and involves more sounds, remnant of some oldskool techno, its got every aspect required to send any dance-floor into spasms of joy. Last but most certainly not least, we are absolutely delighted to welcome Paul Birken back on, one of our favourite artists, and for good reason, he made M.O.R.D.O his own, solid kicks, with a groove only Paul could think of, nice percs, bone crunching bass and plenty of his style of drops, you always know a Birken track when you hear it, and this is definitely one for your mixes, as is the whole EP, Pauls remix is just the icing on the techno cake, a tasty cake at that.
