This holiday season we are delighted to bring you this wonderful EP to commemorate what has been a year most of us would like to forget, but it has also been a very interesting year for techno. Variance saw lots of changes and next year we got an incredible lineup on the cards so far. This various artists EP is just a hint of what is to come in 2018. Firstly we have a really incredible track from the ever present "Blurred Boy", this guys work ethic is insane, he has some wonderful releases coming up and plenty coming on Variance next year, "Not Halfway There" is banging as you get, whilst not pushing the limits, leaving space for a solid synth and pad line with great percs. Then another act that have featured heavily in the last year, and i can tell you now they will not be going anywhere, there sound is ever evolving but distinguishable, and in "Bastard !!!", "Duo Alias" have given us a slight view into what they have in store for 2018, fresh off supporting the man himself Perc, the boys are flying high, and this track will make you fly high. Following is the first release from KRŸST on the label, it has a famous vocal sample in it that any electronic music aficionado will recognise, but it is used with immense effectiveness, the melody, the bass-line, the thumping kick, the percussion, subtle yet effective, this track is an instant classic, it encompasses trance elements, with some nice acid lines, and an immensely effective stab, a track you will never get bored of, if its your thing of course, but I am sure you can appreciate the skills used. The fourth edition is from label owner Scenedrone, no stranger to these EPs, he ha provided something very different to what you may expect but we really hope you enjoy, its a bass heavy electronica/techno track, with some cool progressions and regressions, ideal to mix through or play early on in your set, that being said I have mixed it pitched up, and it does work.
Last but not least, in fact one of the highlights of the EP, and I love all the tracks, but I have been wanting to get the "Swardz" track "evening Bitches" out for over a year now, and here it is in all its glory words cannot describe what this will do to the floor, do NOT fuck with Swardz.

This holiday season, our gift to you is this various artists compilation, featuring Brolax Bones, Evergreen Symphony, Luke Creed, Reject, Sin Ø and Valerio.
A great collection of tracks of varying intensity and style. Ranging from Brolax Bones no nonsense attitude providing us with a stormer of a track, it has UK Techno stamped on it somewhere, but does not adhere to any rules. This is followed by Empathy, by Evergreen Symphony, a nice thumper from the get-go with an immense atmosphere, a really crazy acid-ish synth throughout, it ebbs and flows really well as the track builds and breaks down, amazing production. Following this we have label head Luke Creed with Chopping Onions, this is not a standard Luke creed number, there are not many originals by Luke of late, a lot of remixes, but this is a return to form, a nice wonky, broken beat, floor-filler that will have people hopping around like the mad people we al are. Next up is a number from Reject, a very busy track, with lots going on, four on the floor with a nice broken beat section at the start, really great progression, with nice percs and synth sounds, with a vocal that is not overused, a real classy number. Following this we have Valerio remixing a track from Sin Ø, from his LP earlier this year, the track he remixed is Nanna, one of the best received on the LP and Valerio has done a wonderful job, a solid four on the floor banger, busy percs and subtle synth sounds, with a lovely atmospheric feel throughout constantly progressing until the end. Last but most certainly not least, we have Sin Ø and this time he has remixed Valerio, nice to get the two remixes on this compilation, now to describe this track is like trying to describe a Picasso whilst on LSD, but I will try, it is just incredible, like all productions that bare the name Sin Ø, beautiful progression, a very effective vocal and drops where you want them, one of my personal favourite producers of 2017 on Variant Electronic, and this most definitely wont be the last time you see his name on a release.
All in all this EP is incredible, the variety, the skills used, I am immensely proud to present this to you.
