cactus...

My little green cactus
he is not standing on the balcony,
he is standing in my room
as a role model:

He is really firm,
which I am not always.
From a certain age
If you tend to be slack.

So I take him as an example
and keep telling me
Do not run so crooked through life,
you should always be upright!

And then flourish my cactus,
I bring him to you,
then to prove to you
how upright, beautiful I am ...

Kaktus....

Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus
der steht nicht am Balkon,
der steht bei mir im Zimmer
als Vorbildfunktion:

Er ist ja wirklich standhaft,
was ich nicht immer bin.
Ab `nen gewissen Alter
neigt man(n) zur Schlappheit hin.

So nehm’ ich ihn als Beispiel
und red mir ständig ein:
Lauf nicht so krumm durchs Leben,
stets aufrecht sollst du sein !

Und blüht dann mal mein Kaktus,
bring ich ihn zu Dir hin,
um dir dann zu beweisen,
wie aufrecht, schön ich bin…
