The Netherlands is a highly populated country in a reclaimed part of the sea with nearly half of its territory below sea level. Many tourists accept to visit Amsterdam only in the Netherlands. But the Netherlands has a lot to offer outside the capital. The Vrijthof regularly hosts large festivals at different times throughout the year, including autumn and winter festivals.
The Rijksmuseum
The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is the largest and oldest museum of art and history in the Netherlands. It contains a large collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age including the works of Vermeer and Rembrandt. Until 2013, the museum is completely renovated, but it still has grand masterpieces at the show.
Kinderdijk
More than 1,000 old windmills are still present in the Netherlands. It is the largest gathering of Dutch windmills that can be found near the village of Kinderdijk ("Children's Dam"). For the discharge of excess water from reclaimed land, located below sea level, windmills were built around 19 1740. It has been well preserved and to this day is now one of the popular tourist attractions in the Netherlands.
Hoog Philovi
National Park Philowe National Park is one of the largest continuing nature reserves in the Netherlands, consisting of meadows, sand dunes, and woodlands. Müller-Krüller Museum - with a large collection of paintings by Vincent Van Gogh to nest inside the park. The bikes are available free of charge for visitors from the Villoviage Hoog, with plenty of space that can not be reached by car.
