An EYE :as camera
[Note: This picture is captured by myself from my mobile.]
Sometimes we think that what if our eye would be a camera
What would be its price ?🤔🤔🤔
No camera can focus and give a clear vision as human eyes do .Your eyes are much different than a camera on a lot of levels. For one, your eyes are rounded in the back and not flat like a camera sensor. However, there are a few technical similarities in the way camera and eyeball optics work.
If our eyes had been a camera then we could click every moment of our life and at age of only 7 the brain would say"sorry i am full, I am afraid no storage any more 😫"
According to Wikipedia's retina article the human retina has about 100 million rods for black and white vision and 7 million cones for color vision. So, per eye, a gross estimate is:
100 megapixels for black and white
7 megapixels for color
A lot of sources claim human vision exceeds 500 megapixels, which may be true, once the brain processes the image. It is most likely that a direct measurement of visual acuity in terms of megapixels is misleading.
As i calculated :
The megapixel equivalent numbers below refer to the spatial detail in an image that would be required to show what the human eye could see when you view a scene. 90 degrees * 60 arc-minutes/degree * 1/0.3 * 90 * 60 * 1/0.3 = 324,000,000 pixels (324 megapixels). 120 * 120 * 60 * 60 / (0.3 * 0.3) = 576 megapixels.
