Ever see or even eat Jamblang fruit? For most people living in rural areas must know Jamblang. But for most people who live in urban areas may never see or know the fruit Jamblang. Jamblang trees are very rarely found growing in urban areas.thick trunked trees with many branches and have this single leaf usually grow wild in especially in teak forests, or planted in the yard of the residents.

Plant called latin Syzygium Cumini is still classified in the family of guava-jambu or Myrtaceae originating from Asia and Australia tropic. Jamblang can only grow in lowland areas with a height of 500 m above sea level.when it is young the fruit is green and then blackened when ripe. It tastes sour when it's young and sour when it is ripe. In Indonesia, Jamblang is known by many different names in different regions. Different areas then different mention of Jambang like Jambe Kleng in Aceh, Jambu Kling in Gayo, Jambu Kalang in Minangkabau and many more.

B5 0.160 mg, Vitamin B6 0.038 mg, Vitamin C 14.3 mg.Jamblang also contains Calcium 19 mg, Iron 0.19 mg, Magnesium 15 mg, Phosphorus 17 mg, Potassium 79 mg, and Sodium 14 mg.
