Scenario Prelude initiated 

Most members of the web platform Steemit originate from the cryptocurrency ecosytem, a community that abides to ideas of liberty, anarchy and blockchain technologies. Celebrities from these domains are already trending daily in the platform. Along with the developers, they dominate the wealth and reputation distribution. Agreement with the trending posts is irrelevant. The following projection is a custom scenario based on currently observed parametres.

Year 2016
Steemit goes viral after Obama joins Steemit. Other Leaders and popularizers all over the world soon follow. Popularity of an individual or corporation is the sole motivation for someone to join and earn money. Soon ideological upvoting fades away. The masses follow and/or upvote celebrities and leaders at will. Specialised custom bots emerge with massive selective upvoting algorithms from the very popularizers that lead the way. Even the initial anarchist members upvote politicians and celebrities. Free market capitalists see it as a market paradise. Victims of current war conflicts like Iranians and Syrians upvote opposing politicians like Obama and Angela Merkel. Whether one agrees or not with something it remains irrelevant.

Year 2019
The world currencies are slowly losing value. Steemit is at an all time high. People rush to shapeshift their dollars into Steem. The already rich and famous, military leaders, politicians, criminals and untouchables exchange billions of Dollars and expand massively the Steem Ecosystem to serve individual interests. Their concentration of wealth and popularity is even greater in Steemit due to the upvote reward system.

Year 2024
Almost all shops around the world now accept Steem. 99% of users are earning pennies of Steem Dollars. No human can compete with the thousands of custom bots flooding the network. Top government agencies and private institutions exist for the sole reason of making bots. Bots attract massive amount of followers in hope that their algorithm will benefit them financially. Some bots offer rewards for uploading personal data for cataloguing and marketing purposes. Most humans are forced to join this initiative because the wealth gap in Steemit gives them no choice.
 

Year 2031
Steemit is integrated into the human brain with a specialised chip. There is no need to carry a personal computing device any more. Almost all online applications run through a steem protocol. Steem becomes the world currency while all others fade to the point of extinction. Some rebellious groups run their own sub-Steem currencies but they are slowly discovered and flagged from the Steemit network. Most users cannot afford basic services as bots regulate the market prices. Organised groups try to go against high tech bots but the battle seems to be futile. The biggest corporations on earth own the elite bots that control content, sales, people and trends.

The above hypothetical scenario should serve as food for thought. It probably won't play out as I described (hopefully). Ecocystems of all kinds, adopt in very different ways and one cannot take all factors into consideration. Prediction is a fool's game. We are governed by incalculable random events. There are things we know, things we think we know and things we don't know, we don't know. 

Right now Steemit is seen as a paradigm shift from the rest of the Social Media. Nonetheless, concentration of power seems to bother everyone more or less. It seems that we like to fall into the same pitfalls we were trying to avoid in the past. We are overexcited about anything new and as a result tend to get lost in the process. 

I am an individual who adheres to ideas of anarchy and personal freedom. I currently fail see how Steemit or the current blockchain technologies can initiate significant paradigm change and seriously shake the establishment. As we speak the blockchain technology is tested and implemented from major corporations such as the largest bank in Japan, and goverments like the one of Sweden . The US Goverment is already in the game. Very soon many will follow and adopt it into what many called in the past "the new world order". 

Many anarchists go against the idea of "The Government" as they believe is the central problem for humanity's ills. Nonetheless, even if half of the above scenario predictions manifest themselves, whether or not governments or churches or any other central ideology exists, nothing really changes. Governments are nothing next to massive companies like Facebook, Apple and Walmart. 

Chasing The Government or Religion or Science in order to solve problems is like chasing a vague idea, a ghost that slips through the cracks every time you get near. All the institutions emerge from people coming together. The totality creates the idea. These institutions are not really tangible. They span across the entire global network. Generations pass and go, and they get established in human culture. 

Imagine your grandkids being born on Year 10 of Oracle-X's scenario. They too will rebel against The Steemit as much as you rebel against The Government. Most people will answer the same to them as they do today:"Well, If you don't like it, Leave." 

And you will have nowhere to go like you very much use as an excuse today. Why should you? People enjoy any form of establishement whether is called The Goverment or The Steemit. Change is scary. This is why also people stay in jobs and relationships they hate or are downright abusive. You see, things do not change with revolutions and wars. These are fables for naive minds.
