The Queen Ramonda.

She wears a distinct headdress. Tho it is reminiscent of the reed Zulu flared hats or "Isicholos." They are traditionally worn by married women for ceremonies and events. IMG_20180218_101248.jpg

Many of the costumes used in the movie have unique and futuristic ornamentation and details. If I am guessing projecting properly these particular set were made by emulating styles of the Masai people. IMG_20180218_102250.jpg
The Maasai people of East Africa live in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. IMG_20180218_102703.jpg

The mask is known as Mgbedike in Nigeria, distinguished by the large size and bold masculine features. They are used in Igbo rituals and are designed to contrast the female dancers with their more feminine beauty. IMG_20180218_102916.jpg

The Ndebele Neck Rings.
IMG_20180218_104030.jpgShuri and Dora Milaje had outfits with prominent collars. Tho the South Ndebele people of Zimbabwe/South Africa wear neck rings as IMG_20180218_104152.jpg part of their traditional dress and mostly as a sign of wealth and status.
