Steemit -- Something So Small Meaning Something So Very Big

Life is truly something else. I am definitely happy to be apart of it but damn.. It is a fucking trip for sure! Whether it be working our lives away in order to make ends meat or dealing with heartbreak after heartbreak.. Life was never meant to be easy and the human heart might just be the strongest thing ever created. No matter how hard things get, our hearts seem to find the strength to carry on even if we do not feel like it. So this is a toast to the human heart! "Thank you for hanging in there for me when I never thought I could!"

Now imagine this. Let's say you are on your way home after a hard day's work. You are pissed off because you are underpaid and unappreciated. You feel like this life has fucked you over. As you are driving home, you notice a family walking along the road. A father, mother and kid. Your first reaction is probably one of sadness and then you Hope they are ok. So you contemplate stopping to give them a 20 dollar bill to possibly help them get something to eat.

Finally you are on top of them and do decide to stop. You call to them and you can see how hard their path has been when they slowly walk up to your window. You hand out a twenty and wish them well. You can tell they truly appreciate your help and they thank you. You then leave, feeling better about yourself as you pull away. Then, moments later, you start to think again about how life is so fucking hard on you! Yet, meanwhile, this family who has nothing in this world but each other is completely upbeat due to the kindness of a stranger.

That 20 dollars truly meant something to them even though they have no where to go. They somehow have made it this far and with your help they will keep on going due to a boost of hope that you gave them in your moment of sadness. I guess I'm just trying to say that although life is extremely hard as fuck, the smallest bit of kindness could literally change someone's entire day! Meanwhile, no matter how bad things might seem, there is always someone out there dealing with much worse!

This whole story symbolizes what steemit does or can do. I have seen plenty of people on here who may have had no other option, they have struggled in all areas, but then they get on here and share their stories. They share their stories and the community uplifts them and encourages them to strive for better days. Some of us take the money we make on here for granted. There are plenty of people who only make $5 or $10 on their posts and they think it is the most amazing thing in the world. I mean think about it, making money by sharing your feelings and telling the journeys and adventures of your life, that's pretty amazing. Steemit has helped my life tremendously since I became a member and if it hasn't yet, it will change yours too. Just give it time.

I hope this will help you see the brighter side of things if you are struggling this Monday morning. So do all you can to remember the good things in life while also helping as many others as you can along the way. We are all in this together!
