COULD ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN BE ON HIS WAY TO INTER MILAN?
In an article by Gianluca Di Marzio, it has been reported that Serie A giants Inter Milan have made an inquiry for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.
Christensen has been on loan at German side Borussia Monchengladbach since 2015 from Chelsea and has come into his own whilst playing into the Bundesliga.
Before going on loan to Monchengladbach, he was pinpointed as a player with huge potential and he is still only 21 years old so Chelsea could consider keeping him for the present and the future.
If Inter Milan snap up Christensen then it would greatly help them to get back to being in Italy’s and Europe’s elite, especially, if they sign Fiorentina’s Borja Valero and Ajax’s Davidson Sanchez which are also mentioned in the article.
However, Chelsea may want to keep Christensen on their books as he is a great young talent and they could regret selling him if he turns out to be as good as expected so maybe a loan move would be the best as it would suit both Inter and Chelsea.
Andreas Christensen won the Borussia Monchengladbach player of the season in his debut year, winning it ahead of their captain Granit Xhaka, who is now plying his trade at Arsenal.
Chelsea are yet to decide what to do with Christensen, whether to keep him in the first-team or cash-in on the young centre-back who has a bright future in the game.
