Everdragons - Blockchain Gaming Evolved

Paving the way in blockchain technology Everdragons, this week, released The Race. This marks the beginning of a wave of games linking cryptocollectibles to real life events on the platform. The pioneering game realizes the potential of blockchain gaming by pushing the boundaries and breathing life into digital assets.

At the core of the project is the cryptocollectible assets called Everdragons. 100% unique in design these Dragons can participate in games and events earning Experience and winning Prestige and cryptocurrency. The first of many games to be released on the platform is the Race. The Race is based on the course of cryptocurrencies and the dragons preassigned power sources links them to a coin on coinmarketcap.com.

The coins performance during the Race determines the dragons performance. Meaning the dragon associated with the coin that increases the most or decreases the least wins the Race and claims the prize pot. This is made possible by the use of an Oracle service which retrieves data from coinmarketcap.com’s API. A huge feat of digital engineering, this game opens the gateway for endless possibilities of games incorporating a catalog of real life events. The team already have plans to incorporate sporting events, political elections and even weather data! The fun doesn’t stop there, players will also be able to exchange the Prestige they have won in the games to host and create their own games, for other dragons to join, directly on the platform.

An important and underpinning factor motivating the Everdragons team is to make the crypto world accessible for mass adoption. The team plan to do this by not only creating a use case for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology but by also creating a learning environment through play with achievement systems and tutorials.
