Valve Updates The Iconic Counter-Stike Dust 2 Map.
One of the most popular and iconic Counter-Strike maps, Dust 2, just got an overhaul in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. On the game's website, Valve has explained the changes to the map including a significant visual upgrade to be in-line with other modern maps. However, Valve also stressed on the fact that it has not redesigned the map and pretty much everything remains the same.
With this new update, Valve is aiming to improve player readability and refine their movements around the map. The company has removed a series of dark spots on the map where players could camp. They have also adjusted map's geometry, removing and relocating objects that could interrupt movement. This new update also changes a few player models.
CS:GO players can opt-in to the beta build and try out the new Dust 2 for themselves. If you are interested, you can check out a bunch of screenshots highlighting these changes Here
