My La Union Story #2 - Ma Cho Temple
Almost everyone is looking for a place to unwind and relax. This is the time where we need to go out from stress.
Beach. Mountains. Caves. Temples. Anywhere far from the reality of work.
Today, I want to show you one of our side trips during our Elyu (La Union) vacation. This is one attraction to go to when you visit the North.
Ma Cho Temple
Constructed on September 11, 1975 through the initiative of then Tourism Minister Jose D. Aspiras and cooperation of the Chinese community, this majestic Taoist Temple is located on a hill 70 feet above sea level at Barangay II, San Fernando City, facing the China Sea. Here, people form all walks of life come and pray for change of luck from Ma Cho, a Chinese deity, whose eight inch wooden image surprisingly has a counterpart in the Roman Catholic faith known as the “Virgin of Caysasay” who is enshrined at the Basilica of Saint Martin in Taal, Batangas.

It looks like your not in the Philippines when you saw the inside and outside of the temple.
Walking on the side of this huge temple, you will see these amazing stone sculptures.
And also this:
Me and my co workers go to the next floor and there's this garden like place.
There's a statue of a woman from the scene.
This kind of plant also grows here.
On that same spot is the best view to take a picture of the whole temple.
From this point, you can also see a view of the city and the sea.
