Swansea vs Man United preview

Jose Mourinho has no fresh injury worries ahead of Manchester United's trip to Swansea on Saturday.

United kicked off their league campaign with a 4-0 victory over West Ham and Mourinho could stick with the same XI that started at Old Trafford.

Romelu Lukaku enjoyed an excellent debut with two goals against the Hammers and the Belgian could become only the fifth United player to score on his first two league appearances if he nets again.

An upbeat Mourinho admitted his team has "more confidence" than last season - but will keep his players' feet on the ground as they prepare for the lunchtime clash in south Wales.

"We are a team with more confidence than the last season, with probably more happiness, more relaxed on the pitch - the way we play, the way we face matches," Mourinho said.

"But I am calm... I am too stable and too experienced to lose my discipline - to lose my stability and to think that a 4-0 result makes us the best team in the country, makes us the favourite and makes us the dream team."

Paul Clement's side earned a goalless draw at Southampton but Saturday's game will be their first since Gylfi Sigurdsson's departure to Everton for a club-record fee.

Team news

Swansea are sweating on the fitness of captain Leon Britton, who is struggling with a back injury and could be replaced by Jay Fulton or summer signing Roque Mesa.

Fernando Llorente (arm), Nathan Dyer (Achilles) and Ki Sung-yueng (knee) remain absent.

Mourinho has a healthy complement of players and also delivered positive news on long-term absentees Luke Shaw and Ashley Young.

The pair will feature for United U23s on Monday as they step up their recoveries from ankle and hamstring injuries respectively.

Argentina defender Marcos Rojo is still several months from returning from serious knee ligament damage.

Opta stats

The Swans have never kept a clean sheet against United in the Premier League in 12 contests. The last Swans goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet versus the Red Devils was Dai Davies in December 1982.

United have won two of their last three Premier League meetings with Swansea (D1), this after losing the previous three all by a 2-1 scoreline.

Swansea attempted just four shots in their opening matchday game away at Southampton, without any of them finding the target - both league-lows on MD1.

Manchester United have kept more clean sheets in 2017 than any other Premier League team (12).

Last weekend, Lukaku became the fourth Man Utd player to score a brace on his Premier League debut (also Van Nistelrooy, Wilson, Rashford). The Belgian striker is also looking to become the fifth player to net in his first two PL apps for Man Utd (also Ibrahimovic, Martial, Macheda, Saha).

Anthony Martial came off the bench to great effect on MD1 becoming the first Man Utd player to score and assist a Premier league goal as a substitute since Nani versus Liverpool in March 2008.
Prediction

Swansea got a result at Southampton but they weren't great. United didn't really do anything for the first 30 minutes against West Ham, but then they scored the first goal and West Ham collapsed.

Having the Sigurdsson deal sorted should help Swansea, but now they have to replace him. I know he hasn't been playing but it has dragged on. I think United will have too much for them and will make it two wins from two.
