Karlie wasn't expecting anything when she travelled to Scandinavia with her photographer boyfriend Dale Sharpe to see the Northern Lights.

The two are a pair of travel bugs, they love to travel all over the world. Their favorite place to visit is the Arctic Circle. They've visited it about 30 times.

“We both love chasing the Northern Lights and photographing them together, so it seemed pretty fitting,” 34-year-old Dale said.

This isn't Dale's first time proposing. His first attempt was unfortunately unsuccessful due to Karlie accidentally throwing away the $4,000 engagement ring.

It was hiding inside a moisturizer bottle. “I didn’t know until a week after when we were in Iceland,” said Karlie.

After Dave managed to save up more money for a new ring, he booked a trip to see the Northern Lights through Iceland, Norway, and Finland.

He made Karlie think they were posing to take a selfie. Then, when Karlie least expected, Dale got down on one knee.

Of course Karlie said yes and the moment was captured forever in the decoy selfie. Just look how beautiful and breathtaking the picture came out!
