The domestic box office enjoyed another marvelous run this weekend to help push Black Panther further top in the earnings ladder.

The critically acclaimed comic book adaptation by director Ryan Coogler has now passed Titanic (1997) to become the third-highest grossing movie of all time with more than $665 million. Black Panther will have to rake in another $100 million to take over Avatar (2009) for the second spot, and roughly $300 million to push aside Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) for the crown.

It is important to note that the aforementioned figures and achievements are for only the domestic box office, tallied from local screenings inside the United States. They do not cover the worldwide and international markets.
Black Panther shoved aside Frozen (2013) and Beauty and the Beast (2017) last week to enter the top ten highest-grossing movies of all time in the worldwide box office with more than $1,279 billion. There are still a few more weeks remaining before everyone turns their attention to Avengers: Infinity War. There could be more achievements to be earned until then.
