The American Buffalo - Feverish [review]

I love, love, love this song; there I said it (insert happy emoji). The American Buffalo had me at the bass tone with their new single, Feverish. So dry, pocketed and purposeful, it’s what moves this ethereal track through all its glorious parts. Feverish has all the makings of great audio art.

Its name perfectly matches the feeling of the song, it’s not too polished or trite, there’s some great out-of-the-ordinary notes in the vocal melody that make this song humanistic and not derived from some algorithm. The lead vocal has a jazz sensibility about it, like the greats who left notes alone because it gave the performance character, not some audition for The Voice - so refreshing.

Feverish is earthy, dreamy lofty and thoughtful of its listener. There’s this great no-nonsense guitar tone too, the kind that gets me going in the morning. Not messed with, its tone from the fingers of the player and not some pedal. Its solo, song-serving and not player-serving. It’s the kind of part that makes great lovers of the guitar solo go home unsatisfied – thank you. Tasteful organ parts, sonic layering, great melody, mood-altering, it’s all here folks. For fans of great songs.

Cool stuff, nice review and nice discovery, it reminds me a bit of Jeff Buckley which is fantastic ;D

Thanks, it really does sound like him, of course with his own style, but its one of my all time favorites, so I understand why you chose this track :D it is superb
