"Enchanted" apple-colony

In the town of Krolevets in Ukraine, a unique apple-colony grows, which covers an area of ​​about 0.10 hectares and is a part of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine. This extraordinary "apple-colony" is marked by its strange shape, longevity, annual fruiting, and especially the ability to self-rooting branches.

Outwardly it is an apple bush, whose age is more than 220 years. The apple tree has long since lost its primitive maternal trunk, and there are about 15 tree branches, which grew to the ground. The unsurpassed, nowhere else unknown feature of the apple tree is its ability to self-root the branches, and hence - to the continuation of life.

When one of the trunks growing to the ground should die, its branches swiftly lean towards the ground and also grow. Since the apple-colony is a whole garden, only half of the tree fructifies each year, and the second half rests. Apples are medium-sized, sweet and sour with a tart flavor.
It is believed that the tree misses Prince Meshchersky (who planted it), so it bends to the ground. According to another version, the cause of the special form of the apple tree is the energy field - the place on which it grows.

There is no scientific explanation of the phenomenon of the Krolevets apple-tree colony. Both saplings and soils have been investigated - nothing special. And the radiation is normal. For many years enthusiasts have been trying to grow apple trees from the pagonzis and seeds of the colony, but ordinary apple trees grow.
