My Experience While Travelling Europe...

The monarchies may largely be disbanded but cash is still king in Europe. Expect to pay “bar oder bargeld,” "efectivo,” or "espèces" (they all mean "cash"!) at most cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, smaller museums, and for taxis and public transportation. Withdraw amounts large enough to avoid racking up fees but small enough to feel safe

As in the U.S., don't let people behind you see you enter your PIN number. Don't let anyone "help" you. While Europeans are generally helpful, it's unusual for them to offer their help when it isn't asked for

This is certainly one of the most effortless ways to see a city. The best hop on/hop off tours are in Rome, Paris, London, Dublin, Berlin, and Madrid. Once you purchase a ticket (for 24 or 48 hours) you can jump on a bus until you reach the sight or attraction you wish to visit, and then return to the same bus stop.

Throughout my travels in Europe, I discovered that the European lifestyle is vastly different from the Singaporean lifestyle and attitude that I am used too. Simply by having conversations with the Europeans or observing them while people-watching, you can tell that they are more relaxed and take a slower approach to life. They take the time to chill and relax in the gardens
