WHAT IS CANINE DISTEMPER?
Canine Distemper is a disease with no known cure, a very serious illness and a viral one. This disease not just only affects dogs but also, foxes, wolves, skunks, and other certain wildlife species. This virus belongs to the Morbillivirus, which is also relative to the virus that affect humans - the measles virus.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF CANINE DISTEMPER?
This virus spread through air, it can also be spread through direct or indirect contact with infected animal. Initially it attacks the tonsils of dogs and lymph nodes and for one week it replicates itself.
The major symptoms of the canine distemper is the high fever, sneezing, coughing, reddened eyes, discharge of eyes and nose are watery. Also observe your dogs for sudden vomiting, loss of appetite, and diarrhea.
