Tropical Local Flavor: Santol Ice Cream - We have It In Davao!
When visiting Eden Nature Park and Resort in Bayabas, Toril, Davao City don't forget to drop by at the restaurant inside the park. They will give you an array of flavors from various fruits in season. During the santol season at Eden, the fruits are harvested and made into ice cream that a lot of tasters have likened to strawberries. You will never forget your travel experience in my hometown and will keep coming back.
Santol (Sandoricum koetjape) or Lolly fruit in English, is packed with Vitamins B and C, heals allergies, boosts immune system, and lowers cholesterol. Its pulp tastes both sweet and sour at the same time. The taste blends so well with the creamy goodness of milk adding up to a delectably-tasting ice cream. (SOURCE: Unsugarcoated)
Due to its popularity, it's included as a bestseller in the menu every time it is available at the Vista Restaurant. Other ice creams to try are the Jalapeño, Langka, Moringa (Malunggay) and Lemon Grass.

if you love durian ma'am daisy santol is also the best tropical flavor in Davao. Somewhat sweet and sour combination...You will love it too.
