Museum Tsunami Aceh is a museum in Banda Aceh which is designed as a symbolic monument to the earthquake and tsunami of 2004 Indian Ocean as well as education center and emergency shelter if tsunami happen again,

Tidak lengkap rasanya, kalau berkunjung ke Aceh tanpa mengunjungi Museum Tsunami, apalagi menjelang Visit Aceh 2013. Museum ini dibangun oleh BRR NAD-NIAS setelah perlombaan desain yang dimenangkan M. Ridwan Kamil, dosen ITB dan berhak atas dana 100 juta rupiah. Museum ini sendiri menghabiskan 140 Milyar untuk pembangunannya. Bila diperhatikan dari atas, museum ini merefleksikan gelombang tsunami, tapi kalo dilihat dari samping (bawah) nampak seperti kapal penyelamat dengan geladak yang luas sebagai escape building.

Be careful with your head, prepare a wide hat so that your hair and clothes will not get wet. For those who fear the dark and still phobia with the tsunami, it is not advisable to enter from this path.
