Real Madrid defender Danilo to sign for five seasons with Manchester City
An official announcement regarding the future of Danilo is expected on Friday after Real Madrid accepted a Manchester City bid of 30 million euros for the right-back.It had been looking like Chelsea would secure the services of the Brazilian, however delays in the Blues closing the deal allowed Pep Guardiola to steal in and convince Danilo of life at Eastlands.With the player getting a salary boost when he signs a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, Real will receive an initial 30m euros with 5m euros in add-ons.
Following the official confirmation, the final details could be signed off by Tuesday, allowing Danilo to take part in his first pre-season friendly as a City player the following day; in Los Angeles... against Real Madrid.The move also signals the end of a three year stay at Los Blancos for Danilo, winning two Champions Leagues and a LaLiga title, but often losing the battle with Dani Carvajal to be the first-choice right-back, a fight which he now takes up with 57m euro man Kyle Walker in Manchester.
