(Jagapati Babu) who is roaming along with his blind granddaughter Yamini (Baby Dolly); targets a mafia gang led by D.R. / Devraj (Kabir Duhan Singh) spreading drug traffic all over the country.

Movie Review : Patel Sir (2018) New Released Full Movie Hindi Dubbed.A retired Army man takes up arms once again, but for a different reason. Patel (Jagapati Babu) is a retired Major. A highly decorated soldier, he wants his son Vallabh (also played by Jagapati Babu) to follow in his footsteps. But Vallabh wants to become a doctor, much to his father’s dismay and is, therefore, ordered out of the house.

Patel’s wife Bharathi (Aamani) is torn between her husband and son. Her health fails and the family is reunited when Vallabh comes to visit her with his wife and children. Following her death, Patel decides to reconcile with his son, who is also made aware of the immense love his father has for him but hasn’t expressed all these years. Unfortunately, there takes place a tragedy which turns Patel into a killing machine.

What is this tragedy that prompts a law-abiding soldier to go on a killing spree? Watching the answers unfold on the big screen will be quite an experience. The film is tipped to be an action-drama, which draws its strength initially from the look of Jagapati Babu as an ultra-stylish, uber-cool hunk killing goons.

In that sense, the first half is devoted mostly to action episodes. But it is in the second half that director Vasu Parimi proves his mettle. The way he has handled the emotional scenes between Patel and his family will give you goosebumps. Ironically, for a film that baited the audience with its action scenes, it is the emotional drama that stands out eventually.

And Jagapati Babu has done an outstanding job in those scenes. Aamani in her brief role is good and so is Tanya Hope as special officer Katherine, assigned to track the murders. Padmapriya as Vallabh’s wife is easy on the eye. Subhalekha Sudhakar as Patel’s friend has an easy role while the villain’s (Kabir Khan) portrayal is rather stereotypical.

The background score is in keeping with the mood of the film. Each frame has been beautifully captured by the cinematographer. But as with most action-dramas, the plot becomes predictable and this results in a good but soul-less first-half. Patel S. I. Jagapati Babu is simply fantastic and literally carries the film on his shoulders.

And he should certainly thank Vasu for giving him a character with immense scope for performance. In recent times, he has made a name for himself with antagonist roles but in this one, he makes a mark as an actor of substance in the true sense. ‘Patel S.I.R’ is definitely worth a watch.
