The Apache RR 310 follows the typical split headlamp fairing design for an aggressive front. While the prototype was showcased as a committed racing concept, the production model of the fully-faired bike will be a sports tourer like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Yamaha YZF-R3. Powering the TVS Apache RR 310 is a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 34PS of power and delivers a peak torque of 28Nm in the BMW G 310 R.
First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo as the Akula 310 concept, the upcoming sportsbike is based on the BMW G 310 R's platform. The platform has been developed by BMW engineers in Germany while both of the bikes are being manufactured by TVS in India.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is going to compete with the likes of the Benelli 302R, Kawasaki Ninja 300, Yamaha R3 and the KTM RC 390. However, it is expected to be priced under Rs 2 lakh which is comparable to the bikes in a lower segment like the KTM RC 200.
