Vera F. Birkenbihl verstarb am 3. Dezember 2011 nach längerer Krankheit. Sie war eine der ganz großen, weltweit bekannten Denker, Vortragsrednerin und Management-Trainerin. Ein wirklich außergewöhnlicher Mensch, der die Lehr- und Lernwelt der letzten vierzig Jahre entscheidend geprägt hat.
Die meisten Leute wissen garnicht, welchen hohen Anteil Vera F. Birkenbihls Arbeiten bei der Entwicklung der neuen Formen des Unterrichtens und Vortragens hat!
Vera F. Birkenbihl ist es unter anderem zu verdanken, dass das Lachen in der Trainingswelt, in der Pädagogik und im Vortrag "gesellschaftsfähig" wurde und nicht mehr als Kunstfehler betrachtet werden musste... außerdem entwickelte sie das „gehirn-gerechte Lehren und Lernen“ bereits Anfang der Sechzigerjahre.
