The story of Jalaluddin muhammad rumi
The famous Sufi dance we have seen so far from a small Turkish town of Konya. Here, Rumi is invited to come and start spreading the Sufis that Mevlana Museum eventually established.
Once a famous Turkish poet Jalalaludin Muhamad Rumi was invited to the city of Konya by Sultan Seljuk.
The sultan offered a rose garden as well as the funeral of Rumi's father. Jalalaludin Muhamad Rumi is also called as Mevlana or mystical Sufi believer from Persia. Then this Mevlana spread the Sufi flow to the people of Konya Town.
Even the famous Sufi dances began to be disseminated from this city. The dance symbolizes the sincerity of a human being as a creature of God and how a man turns clockwise while reciting the sentence to achieve perfection in every prayer pronounced in his heart and mind.
Only one for the Sufis is to accept life with sincerity and simplicity. Then Mevlana built a mausoleum for his father and his Sufi master. In 1926 when Ataturk came to power in Turkey, the mausoleums and mosques were made into the Mevlana Museum in memory of the Sufis.
Rumi or Mevlana is known as a poet. He wrote hundreds of famous poems in various languages in Persian, Arabic, Turkish and even Greek. Rumi's poem is very famous in the land of Uncle Sam and the collection of poetry of Rumi is very inspiring poets in the world, even in Indonesia.
In museums and mosques Mevlana, we can see some tombs are very well maintained. In fact we can see the ancient Koran with amazing gold ink. Mevlana's poems in Arabic script are kept in a glass case.
When in front of Mevlana's tomb, many visitors pray for him. I also prayed in front of his tomb. In some museum buildings there is a wax statue made like the Sufis of that time with the dance Sufies.
Very interesting to visit in this museum.
