Boxing Icon And Senator Of The Philipines, Manny Pacquiao Will Launch PAC Cryptocurrency Token

Manny Pacquiao, Currently ranked 4th by BoxRec for greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all time and who also doubles as a Senator of the Philipines has announced that he will launch his own cryptocurrency token called PAC Cryptocurrency Token.

It can be a way to be in touch with the fan base and there are a lot of things we can do with this cryptocurrency, Pacquiao told AFP.

The PAC Token will be launched later this year by the Singapore-based Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) in which Pacquiao has a stake.

Pacquaio is not the first boxer to promote cryptocurrencies.

1. Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was a part of the Centra ICO which got shut down by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

2. Evander Holyfield, another boxer-turned-crypto enthusiast, endorsed cryptocurrencies by becoming the spokesperson for AriseBank, a decentralized bank on the blockchain. AriseBank was eventually shut down by regulators and denounced as a scam.

Will The PAC Token Turn Scam Too?

Sources say Pacquaio is well known for his philanthropy and that after each fight, half of his income goes to the poor. It is also clear that Manny Pacquiao wants to leave his mark in his country. After declaring his intentions to one day become President of his country, he now wants to endorsed Crytocurrency and decentralization in his country.
