When you take the time to read the disasters on the news caused by the selfies. But many doesn't stop at that point. Selfie has come become an obsession, and if you look at the social media, I don't thank not many social media platforms has affected the mental state of the tech-savvy community.

There's no point in arguing that, the men are more into selfies than women today. If we take a glance at the social profiles, we get to see both men and women are involved in taking selfies and the numbers are simply significantly high. If you have noticed that many female photographers are carrying DLSR's to snap.

If we look at the present trend, photographers are androcentric, but if we look at the other side, selfies have become more gynocentric and the cause if the females are staging it with craving selfies.

I have always been fascinated by the art and principals of the 17th century, and I head on to capture those monuments which are filled with cultural then an incident occurred in the Jaipur Jantar Mantar, The occasion was the guide who was giving his heart out and presenting the glory of people of the 17th century.

I wasn't the only one, but it was a group and jumped straight and forward said the guide "Brother can you give us a minute" and started to look for something or an object in her bag. Given the situation, I was expecting her to take notes rather than a selfie stick along with her smartphone. I couldn't comprehend the fact how one can be so self-obsessed over a selfie with other girls. I wasn't able to fathom that how one has traveled thousands of miles so that she can take selfies. Judging from the situation what caused these humans to rid selfie obsession.

During the trip, the anxiety, this has caused by me and to my wife to take selfies. So I planned out to save the DSLR for the best part of the trip.

There are these guys in the group were trying to experiment their photography skills with their cameras & smartphones. However, the girls among the group were busy in taking selfies. The trip has come to an end and wrapped things up to get back home. After the trip, few of my friends asked me about the journey I went on, and my wife blamed for not clicking enough selfies and guess she was waiting to take selfies until she gets the perfect click.

If you are one of those who hate taking selfies, then you would understand my point of view. When we are in public, we feel uncomfortable when taking selfies. However, taking selfies in a group is a different occasion. Whatever the reason for discomfort is, two things cannot be done at the same time that is either to concentrate or make faces. The questions remain how girls manage to focus and make faces at the same time.

If you are heavy social media user, then you'd probably know that many are using different filter apps to make their photos more unique and attractive. Many consider it as lovely and unique but not in my case. I can find a bunch of them on my Instagram feeds.

I'm not a gender biased not trying to become one. But when you pay closer attention and inspect the behavior of the selfie fanatics, you will find this one girl, who take selfies on a daily basis and change the Whatsapp DP regularly. What else have increased daily, make-up time, make-up expenses and did you know a brand in the UK has launched selfies make-up kits, which is astonishing.

Selfie obsession has reached a point where the makeup time has increased, reported by a survey and isn't that a sign of selfie obsession which is not only signs of narcissistic qualities in the females. Women usually take pride in what they do. The annoying part is that they conceit and take pride in taking selfies in public.

This modern trend is now reaching the heights if annoyance and self-admiration are entire a foreign concept to the girls, Selfies can be a disastrous, especially when driving, and not only has it put the person in danger also on the other side of the vehicles.

No wonder, I'm not the only one who considers selfie as a disastrous factor, and it's not surprising to hear the Russian internal ministry has released a Guide to Selfie Safety. The tourism department of the world is now adding selfie stick on the BAN list.

I'm not against taking selfies and if you like taking a selfie then go ahead. Certain things must occasionally be done but not every day. When things go above one's imagination and causes unexpected incidents, which can turn out be the most horrible event of the life. 

Preparing for selfies are indeed a time-consuming process when one is spending more time than usual on Makeups and you can that precious time for other awesome moments. Social media is made for all and respect the fact on how you should be an example for your juniors. There are parents who take annoying selfies unknowingly, setting a bad example.  You know that you are bound to tell the world, how good you are looking today, but there are other better places to do that. You can describe yourself in any other manner than just taking selfies and make things annoying and awkward
