Hallstatt is located in the Austrian state of upper Austrian the district of Gmunden.H Allstate is a very small village. Situated between the southwestern shore of Hallstatt and the steep slopes of the Dachstein massif, the village lies in the geographical region of Salzkammergut region, on the national road linking Salzburg and Graz. Hallstatt is known for salt production. Hallstatt is an amazing place and when you tour the town you would do and visit lots of places.

1.Market Square
The Market Square has a statue of the Holy Trinity that is surrounded by beautiful buildings. Visitors will always find restaurants, cafes, hotels, a bar and a range of souvenir shops. The Market Square is located in the city center of Hallstatt and is a major attraction there.
2.Hallstatt Salt Mine
As a UNESCO world heritage site, the salt mine was used until modern times, and for over 300 years (from 1600 to 1960) it was the most important location for mining in the region. Eventually, the Hallstatt Salt Mine has become a tourist site which shows the history of mining and the life of the miners, of the Hallstatt community.
- Archaeological artifacts
A good number artifacts were discovered by pure chance in Hallstatt during the construction of a boiler room under a sports shop. It is possible to see this find during the opening hours of the shop for free. Indeed, thousands of important discoveries have been made around Hallstatt, including nearly 2,000 graves .
