Let's Begin

1.Tandoori Chicken

2 Paratha

From being the perfect start to a “healthy” morning in most Delhi households, to a meal for hungry college students and even a late-night snack, paranthas are definitely on the top of the list when it comes to my favorite food in Delhi. Choose from a plain one or select a stuffing of your choice - potatoes, cauliflower, radish, eggs, keema, bananas or even last night’s left over dal - the options are galore.

Where can I try this dish? Paranthe Wali Gali in Chandni Chowk, whose past customers include the likes of Maharajah of Kashmir and even Prime Minister Nehru and his family; Moolchand Parathe Wala located in South Delhi was SRK’s favorite when he used to live in Delhi

3 Paneer Tikka

Also called “chicken of the vegetarians”, the paneer tikka has a special place in the food of Punjab. Chargrilled and spiced, this
soft cottage cheese delicacy is the first to come to mind when one thinks of vegetarian appetisers. And frankly, any menu
would be incomplete without it!

4 Dal Bhatti Curms

The trip to Punjab is incomplete without having Dal-Bati-Churma. A fusion of three separate food, it is a complete supper in itself. It is most popular food of the pink city. Bati is a heated ball produced using flour which is then dipped in ghee and consumed with the dal. Churma is a flaky sweet dish created using flour that runs with the dish. No Punjab merry or wedding menu is finished without this famous food.

5 Ghevar

Ghevar is also made with maida and its web-like appearance is what sets it apart from a crowd of mithais in India. This disc-shaped Punjabi sweet tastes best when cooked in ghee. Drenched with sugar syrup, Ghevar is delicious when served with malai or rabri.
