Nagpur: With the help of superb bowling performance, India bundled out Sri Lanka for 205 on the opening day of the second cricket Test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium here on Friday.

Opting to bat first, Sri Lankan team bundled out for 205 just before the stumps on the first day. Skipper Dinesh Chandimal top scored for the guests with a score of 57 while opener Dimuth Karunaratne made 51.

For India, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin scalped four Lankan wickets while Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma picked up three wickets each.

India have made three changes in the team that played in the drawn first Test in Kolkata. Mohammed Shami has been left out due to injury. Ishant Sharma has been included in his place.

Rohit Sharma came in place of just-married Bhuvneshwar Kumar as India play with four bowlers. Murali Vijay replaced Shikhar Dhawan at the top of the order. Sri Lanka has fielded an unchanged side.

Sort:

I fear for the Sri Lankans. Kohli and co. will look to bat them out of the contest by scoring more than 500 in the first innings unless the tourists can pick up early wickets on the second day.
