CHILD ABUSE.....
The physical, sexual, or psychological maltreatment or neglect of a child or children, especially by a parent or other caregiver is basically the child abuse.
TYPES OF CHILD ABUSE
The WHO distinguishes four types of child maltreatment:
1-Physical abuse
2-Sexual abuse
3-Emotional and psychological abuse
4-Neglect
PHYSICAL ABUSE
Physical abuse often does not occur in isolation, but as part of a constellation of behaviors including authoritarian control, lack of parental warmth and anxiety-provoking behavior
SEXUAL ABUSE
It is a form of child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent abuses a child for sexual stimulation.
In United States, approximately 15% to 25% of women and 5% to 15% of men were sexually abused when they were children.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE
The nonaccidental verbal or symbolic acts by a child's parent or caregiver that result, or have reasonable potential to result, in significant psychological harm to the child is psychological abuse.
Emotional abuse can result in abnormal or disrupted attachment development, learned helplessness, a tendency for victims to blame themselves (self-blame) for the abuse and overly passive behavior.
NEGLECT
the failure of a parent or other person with responsibility for the child, to provide needed food, clothing, shelter, medical care, or supervision to the degree that the child's health, safety or well-being may be threatened with harm is child neglect.
children who are neglected may experience delays in psychosocial and physical development, might resulting in psychopathology and impaired neuropsychological functions including executive function, language, processing speed attention, memory and social skills
This is very serious matter. Our minor society is not safe and government should take strict action. For satisfying sexual desire, small children were targeted.
Parents should teach their minors about good and bad touch.
