Introduction
Humanity is evolving and the World is fast developing. At a point in history, trade was by salt, precious metals, gold, e.t.c. but thanks to technology, money (paper money) Was introduced as a tool for exchange with various states and countries having their own currencies. Currency is the system of money a country uses.
However, man was not satisfied with this means of exchange. Man needed an advanced form of money that is not physical hence, the introduction of cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrency is a currency that is digital, a currency not physical. It uses cryptography (codes) for security and privacy. Cryptocurrency is difficulty if not impossible to be forged because of it's security. It has no central control which makes manipution by anyone impossible. The first cryptocurrency was bitcoin, launched in 2009 by Pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Subsequently, other cryptocurrencies such as namecoin, litecoin, peercoin, Cryptogene, e.t.c. also emerged.
This write up introduces us into a new and formidable cryptocurrency called cryptogene. Unlike other cryptocurrencies , cryptogene is particular to African nations.
What is Cryptogene?
Cryptogene is a Nigeria based startup, that brings blockchain to Africa through education. It was developed by Aminu Bashir as a community where people of all nationalities could share their information towards building the cryptocurrency blockchain technology.
It is a community where individuals are equipped with a better understanding of the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Cryptogene introduces Nigerians to the benefits of the blockchain. The blockchain(ledger) is the connecting link thats regulates the cryptocurrency ecosystem using various secretive coded. The blockchain is public yet, it cannot be manipulated. It is decentralised and this makes interference impossible.
The world is going digital, so there is a need for us to be digital in our means of exchange also. Digital exchange may sound strange in this part of the World(Africa) because our people are not familiar with such. A typical African does his transactions via physical realities. Even the idea of online banking is not well u understood by all Africans, not to talk of digital transaction. However, this innovation is real and it has come to stay and we can achieve this through proper enlightenment
Aim and Objectives of Cryptogene

This helps to change our mindset and the way we interact with people and our environment. Nigerians are gifted with great minds who can help make our society a better place but most often, We lack the platform or institutions for such innovations. Cryptogene provided the platform.
Cryptogene can influence the economy, bussines, government of a country. It gives room for hard work and it encourages creativity. In such a system, no one is left behind provided the person works. It is open to us all. Reward is not based on connections or who one knows rather, reward is merited.
With Cryptogene in Africa, issues of corruption and bad government will not prevail. Corruption and bad governance is a product of a bad centralised government where power is at the centre. This explains why certain individuals loot public funds resources. In a society with even distribution of resources, there will be no need for unnecessary agitation by various groups. Every ethnic group will be given their required resources.
Cryptogene aims at liberating Africa. It aims at empowering the average Nigerian to the actualization of his/her potential. It liberates man from dominance and unproductivity. It creates equal opportunities for for everyone.
The Goals/Ends of Cryptogene
There are basically three goals of Cryptogene namel: education, adoptation and implement and implementation.
Educate: This is key in the actualization of Cryptogene as a means of exchange in Afriac. Our people need to be taught on what the blockchain is all about. How can it be possible for transaction to go on on such a system and still remain protective without manipulation or interferance by anyone. How can this ecosystem better the life of an average Nigerian. How can this help to improve business activities etc?. All this can be achieved through proper education. This gives Africans an understanding of the subject matter and prepares them to adopting it in the society.
Adoptation: the aim of educating the people on Cryptogene is for the people after understanding what it is all about,educating to accept and make it a part of them. Rather than seeing it as a theory, it becomes practical and visible in the day to day activities of every African.
Implementation: The final goal of Cryptogene is the actualization of it. After education and adoptation, the ground is now set for its implementation. It now becomes in use and a way of live in Africa.

The Only time that man is permitted to stop creative innovations is at death. Cryptogene has come to stay in Nigeria. Let us embrace it and make Africa a better place.
