We have to agree that people think opportunities are limited right here in Africa especially Nigeria and feel that they have to travel to make it.While they go abroad engaging in straineous or domestic jobs to make ends meet. But the stories I am going to tell you is about Africans who have achieved the fame,popularity and wealth abroad and also are celebrities, achieving this feat outside the shores of Africa which we know that is not easy to achieve.
The first person I am going to talk about is Sade Adu who is of a Nigerian father and also lived in Nigeria before she moved away.Helen Folasade Adu Helen Folasade Adu was born on 16 January 1959 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.she gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the English band Sade.

Sade's work has influenced numerous musical artists. Rapper Rakim of Eric B. & Rakim stated he grew up listening to Sade's soul music and was influenced by her voice and style.American singer-songwriter Beyoncé has recognized Sade, calling her music a "true friend".
She has achieved fame and as a well respected singer and was the first female Nigerian to receive a Grammy award which is a really big deal all over the world.

He got citizenship as an American because he was born there. He is a Nigerian-American biophysicist, professor of aeronautics and bioengineering, currently at the Civil & Environmental Engineering department at Stanford University.
His honors include a Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research, a Presidential Early Career Award for
Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), and being named as one of Popular Science magazine's "Brilliant 10" scientists in 2008. Bloomberg Businessweek magazine listed him among its 2012 Technology Innovators.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid is Nigerian singer and song writer.In 2016, Wizkid achieved international recognition following his collaboration with Drake on the global hit, "One Dance", which reached number one in 15 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Just imagine for your song to be known that far and wide when you were born and raised in Africa, well its a really big deal because it is not easy.
Wizkid's contribution to the Nigerian Music Industry has earned him several achievements. He is the recipient of two BET Awards, three Billboard Music Awards.In addition, he has been nominated five times at the MTV Europe Music Awards, three times at the American Music Awards, four times at the World Music Awards, and once at the Grammy Awards. It feels good to know wizkid is a Nigerian and we want even more people like him to arise and make us proud.
