"Swedish princess calls off wedding amid rumors" - three examples of addictions to sex and money

in #addictions6 years ago

Two months ago I published a post about the forces of temptation and today was reminded of several news reports of such behavior.

Example # 1

It was reported on, April 26th, 2010 that the Swedish royal wedding was called off after a student claimed she had a fling with the princess' fiancé. And so once again we face an event that seems to contradict any logic or reason. "Why on earth", the common man asks himself, "Would the fiancé ruin everything he has, throw off a successful future, and for what? A casual sexual pleasure!" It doesn't make sense to us. That event doesn't stand alone and joins a series of similar acts of irrationality (see below).

Nevertheless, if you bear in mind what I wrote in that article about the nature of the psyche and the existence of our psychological fragments the picture will brighten for you. I will recap - people who have not fully incorporated their fragments or at least became aware of them are constantly bombarded by their wandering aspects. Those use manipulative ways to influence the human's behavior and inflict their own agendas. That causes the human to always feel unsatisfied. It makes no difference for that fiancé that the princess is beautiful, smart and loving. It's not enough for him. Unbalanced humans want more; more money, more power, and more excitement. Those fragments are controlling the human's behavior and the poor men don't even know that. This is the true tragedy.

If we went back eight years ago, what would you recommend the princess to do? Obviously, her heart is broken and a forgiveness plea might come soon from the fiancé's end. However, both should know that they must deal with their fragments. They must claim their own mastery and sovereignty or else it will be just a matter of time until another act of infidelity will take place. This is the princess' responsibility as well since she also created (allowed) the unpleasant event and therefore must also look within for the fragment that influenced her. The psychological lurking aspect could be thoughts like: "I am not loved enough"; "I am a victim and not a creator" etc.

Example # 2

Lloyd Craig Blankfein is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs was sued on April 16, 2010, by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and was accused of fraudulently selling collateralized debt obligations tied to subprime mortgages. With Blankfein at the helm, Goldman has also been criticized "by lawmakers and pundits for issues from its pay practices to its role in helping Greece mask the size of its debts." Blankfein testified before Congress in April of 2010 at a hearing of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. He said that Goldman Sachs had no moral or legal obligation to inform its clients it was betting against the products which they were buying from Goldman Sachs because it was not acting in a fiduciary role.

Blankfein was named as one of "The Most Outrageous CEO of 2009" by Forbes magazine, his greed seems to be unstoppable.

What interesting is the reportthat in his early career Blankfein was addicted to gambling ("A Las Vegas habit"). He was spending large quantities of time and money at the casinos in Las Vegas. It is probable that the Leech of gambling found its way into him already back then. Throughout the years it acquired a stronger hold on him, exploiting the circumstances – his work in the financial industry – to grow even more. The monster has now become so attached to Blankfein that the two seem inseparable.

Example # 3

It was published, also in 2010, that a Russian oligarch was facing the biggest divorce payment in history after his wife had demanded a £3.8 billion settlement. The legal divorce case was being held in Geneva, Switzerland. During the hearings, the wife, Mrs. Rybolovleva, has accused her husband of serial infidelity and of carousing on the couple’s yacht with a number of other women. She was said to be “sick to the back teeth of his fondness for other women”.

The couple met two decades ago and has been married for over 21 years. What happened? Why people who seem to have a happy, rich and successful life choose to behave in ways that humiliate their loved ones and themselves?

This case, of course, is another example of the main theme that goes through my message here. The only full satisfaction that a human being can have is through the connection with his/her soul part, his True Love part, as I call it. It is easy for us, the bystanders, to laugh at or mock people who cheat or betray or act in ways that contradict simple common sense or basic morality. But before we judge others we should be aware that the forces of temptation are active in our lives too, though perhaps to a lesser extent, and that only after we deal with them and regain sovereignty over our aspects we would genuinely be able to claim mastery and know for sure that we have reached completion.

These examples, therefore, do us all a great service.

Remember, that we live in times in which it doesn't matter how much money you have, how powerful you are, what status you hold in society (to name just a few social indicators). Your soul is interested only in one thing – getting to be with you. On the path, you will be pushed out of your comfort zone in order to cast away the blocks that prevent the reunion.

Be aware.

And he is still CEO of GS. Another great example would be Tiger Woods. I personally don’t care and don’t judge these people. Whether they are addicts or not, at the end they have to deal with it themselves. At some point I feel sorry for them, because I believe at the end they are disappointed of them self for their addictions. Today, I gave some change to a homeless man. Why? Because no one becomes poor by giving and I’m always thinking “What if it was me one day? He is a human as well”. The same way I’m thinking about drug addicts, sexual addicts, gambling addicts... One day, it could be one of us. We should try to help these people instead of judging them, which could be one of the big reasons pulling them even deeper.

Indeed.
And the hardest part for them is the self loathing. They know they give in to a power strongest than them, but they can't help it.

This is so deep and well explained. There is a beast in everyone, if it is not tamed, it may destroyed what we have built over years.

The only full satisfaction that humans have is through relationships with their soul parts, the True Love part. From the opposite words, I honestly don't want to reflect, but my days will rise. Humans are creator gods. I can't make a decision. Due to poor economic nature - health deteriorates, disappears, lack of sovereignty. Confidence
Thank you, my teacher @nomad-magus

Can't make a decision? About?

We create and attract these things. Finding happiness with our inner-self is indeed real and true love so we should be able make our existence complete.
We must focus on finding happiness always. Finding and making sure it stays.❤😊 Thank you very much @nomad-magus!❤
