Goodbye 2018 | My Actifit Report Card: December 31 2018
Well here we are, right at the end of another year and this one has been a real mixed bag for me. It has held my toughest ever moments, some of the most exciting, and some life changing decisions too.
Back at the beginning of March, I had the honour of nursing my mum for the last two weeks of her life. Between my father and I - with the amazing help of my sister too - we managed to get her out of hospital, where she had been for 3 months - in order to enjoy her last days at home. It was her one wish, and it is one of the things I am most proud of. Holding mum's hand as she passed away was both the hardest and most important thing I've ever had to do. Just six weeks later, we also had to say goodbye to my father in law. Yup - the year has been a tough one.
On the flip-side, I have had the immense joy of seeing my other half's wonderful novel, The Map Of Us not only be published, but become a bestseller on Amazon. Seeing it in the hands of so many people has been such an incredible joy!
And then, in early December, I left my day job. Having enjoyed a few weeks of freedom, I'm looking forward to starting the New Year with the time to work on finishing my first novel as well as continuing to grow my business as a pet and portrait artist.
And then - one of the most amazing things this year- I discovered Steemit. My friends here have become like a second family to me. There are so so many people here I'm grateful for - but I have to give a big cheer for my lovely @welcomewagon gang - especially Team Sapphire lovelies @dreemsteem, @bluefinstudios and @saffisara - they have seen me through some of my darkest days, and are truly the best friends I could ever wish for.
All in all - an real mixed bag of a year. I can't pretend that I'm sad to say goodbye to it - but I'm so excited for the adventure that is 2019 - and I can't wait to share it with you all.

Hehehe my lovey dovey doodle girl hehehe you know we all feel the same. sapphire is so important. I think of how we have all taken turns holding one another up, laughing, being absolutely ridiculous in DM LOLOL (how many times have we changed that name now hehehe) and what a mix we all are ♥️

Happy 2019 to you. I see some real lows and soaring highs as I look back at 2018, too, but the friendships I've made here have been a huge part of the joys. Congrats to your other half on making bestseller! That's amazing! Brightest blessings to you and yours as we dance into this new year. :)
