I learned today that my organic shop around the corner will be planting a large meadow with about 50 varieties of flowers starting in April. The aim is to give the insects and especially the bees a new habitat.
The highlight of the project is that we as citizens can sponsor a part of the area for a period of one year. I will find out more about it in the next few days.
It sounds very good to me, it seems to be a project worth supporting.
Ich habe heute erfahren, dass mein Bio-Laden um die Ecke ab April eine große wilde Wiese mit ca. 50 Blumensorten bepflanzen wird. Das Ziel ist, den Insekten und vor allem den Bienen einen neuen Lebensraum zu ermöglichen.
Der Clou bei der Sache ist, wir als Bürger können für ein Jahr lang eine Patenschaft für eine Teilfläche übernehmen. Genaueres werde ich in den nächsten Tagen erfahren.
Für mich klingt das sehr gut, es scheint ein sehr unterstützenswertes Projekt zu werden.

That sounds lovely, I always appreciate when people are taking care of and thinking about the bees and other insects. I am also looking forward to seeing some photos of that in the future. Kudos for the steps honey!
