Aldactone digunakan untuk mengobati pasien rawat inap retensi pembengkakan dan cairan dengan gagal jantung kongestif, sirosis, atau masalah ginjal (sindrom nefrotik). Hal ini juga digunakan untuk pengobatan tekanan darah tinggi. Hal ini juga dapat digunakan untuk mengobati atau mencegah kalium darah rendah. Hal ini juga dapat digunakan untuk mengobati sekresi kelebihan hormon aldosteron oleh kelenjar adrenal.
