This was a very enlightening post for me. I know a few people who are full time taking care of their family members. They seem to have more health problems themselves and it does seem to be demoralizing to them. It takes away from their ability to fulfill their own dreams and yet it is very honorable that they take care of their family members. Good luck to you @alienbutt! I hope working in the garden and keeping yourself busy in steemit will help pull you out of your own struggles with mental health. I think the steemit community is good at listening and hopefully can offer you support as well.
