Humenemy
I just made that up; humenemy. I's cheesy, I know, but it's a nice short notation for how humanity is being made the enemy of mankind. Pay heed brethren, this planet has a disease, and we're it. Repent now, pay for your sins against Mother Earth, for this is the only path toward a life of eternal bliss for our progeny!

Before I continue, let me be absolutely clear; it's a GOOD thing to be concerned with the environment we all share. We're now in the middle of the sixth Great Extinction, one of the most significant extinction periods in the history of our planet, rivaling in numbers even the one that killed all dinosaurs. This current extinction period is also known as the Holocene extinction, or... wait for it... the Anthropocene extinction. It's absolutely true that humankind changes the environment in a rate that's far too fast for evolution to keep up with, and that we treat natural resources with no regard for other lifeforms or the future. Our individualistic tendencies have been fired up by capitalism and consumerism to the point that we suffer not only from individual greed on personal and institutional levels (corporations, governments, universities), but also from this new form of what I call "generational selfishness"; as a species, by example of the "advanced west," we act with no concern whatsoever for future generations. "Après nous le déluge."
So it's GOOD to be concerned about this, and to take as much personal responsibility for it as you think you can manage. But... There's a BIG but. Environmentalism as it's presented right now, is fake. It's the kind of environmentalism that demonizes mankind, and proposes solutions ensuring that the poorest people will once again pay the price for the exorbitant lifestyles of the absurdly wealthy few. It should at least worry each and everyone of us, that all the major environmental institutions and organizations have been founded, financed and endorsed by these wealthy few. They are not blind or dumb; they see that the general populace is slowly waking up to their scheme. Bankers were once highly respected as the guardians of both the nation's wealth and that of it's citizens; the truth has always been that they are the guardians of an age old power-structure of which they themselves occupy the very top. The money they print for their corporate and political henchmen is but a tool to siphon the fruits of labor from the poor to the rich, in the form of more money. Only their money comes from thin air, and we pay it back (plus interest and/or growing debts) with money earned by real labor. It's feudalism 2.0, and they know that we know. Well, WE know, my dear crypto brothers and sisters :-)

They are now hard at work constructing a new narrative, one that is compelling and bursts with good intentions, but one that ultimately safeguard the status quo that has served them so well. Enter the "cashless society" and the demonizing of every individual "carbon footprint." Isn't it funny that the extremely well written Earth Charter, "an international declaration of fundamental values and principles for building a just, sustainable, and peaceful global society in the 21st century," originates with Maurice Strong, who became rich in the oil-industry? Or that BP and Royal Dutch Shell are now at the forefront of the "green energy revolution"? When I see these heated discussions between climate alarmists and climate deniers (both horrible terms that serve nothing but increase adversity between people who should be united in a common goal), my heart bleeds. The alarmists accuse the deniers of choosing sides with the oil lobby, and the deniers promptly deny it of course, when in truth they both face the same enemy; it's the oil business itself that now spreads it's wings out into a new, highly profitable "green economy" while preaching the love of nature and the earth. Oh, you think they're hurting themselves? Hmmm... Oil prices are going up, aren't they?
Ultimately, the demonizing of "carbon" fits their agenda. All life we know of is carbon based. We exhale carbon-dioxide for peet's sake. It's but one of many greenhouse gasses, it's plant-food. When earth was at it's greenest, the concentrations were much higher then we'll ever be able to cause. This is not to trivialize, but to put back some sanity in this fake discussion. Who will emit most of the demonized gas in the coming decades? Yup, the developing countries. Who will be the ones to suffer most loss of human lifes in case of flooding due to a rising sea level? Who will be blamed for "overpopulating" the planet, of not being able to "stop breeding like rabbits"? All have the same answer, and it's not us in the "civilized" west. Don't be fooled. Be concerned yes, but don't be fooled. You are not the problem, nor are your kids. And I don't care if you're a climate denier or an alarmist, you're both not the problem, and you need to know that about each other. And you need to know that there's no such thing as "overpopulation," only control of the population. And with the current slew of environmentally based rules, treaties and regulations, this control grid will be expanded on a global scale, just like with the globalization of the economy under the umbrella of the World Bank, the IMF, the BIS (Bank of International Settlements, the central bank of all central banks), UNESCO, the UN, NATO... should I go on?
No I won't, this rant has gone on long enough... I would like to invite you to watch the recent interview with James Corbett from the corbettreport that ignited this rant. The earth will survive with or without us, and life will find a way, the question is if we will. Thank you, dear reader, for enduring till the end :-)
