Festival "Pecheniz'ke Pole"
"Pecheniz'ke Pole" is an annual ethnic and art festival in Ukraine. It was founded in 2001 in the Kharkiv region on the Pechenizhskoe reservoir.
"Pechenezhsky Pole" since the days of Kievan Rus was enveloped in legends that grew around the village of Pechenegi in the Kharkov region. Here the Slavic tribes guarded their land from hostile raids. The first mention of the area of Pecheneg was mentioned in 968 with the successful campaign of Prince Svyatoslav with the successful campaign of Prince Svyatoslav.
According to the organizers, it is the rich heritage of the land and the preserved ecological purity that prompted them to found the festival. The main idea of the festival was the preservation of folk culture and traditions.
Every year the festival pleases guests with a bright ethnic program for every taste. For more than 10 years, for viewers open the "Shop Masters", "Miracle City", interactive venues, thematic competitions, gala concert and fireworks. Also included in the program are master classes of blacksmiths, wood carvers, potters, weavers, medovars, carving, Petrikov painting, straw appliqués, jewelry making, soap making, and many others. And accordingly, competitions are held in creative nominations.
The festival supports performers of authentic music, as well as Ukrainian rock / pop bands. The famous Scriabin, Zdob si Zdub and Vopli Vidopliassova, Ruslana, TIK, Turetsky Choir and SOLOMINBEND jazz at the electrode, Mandry, Boombox, Man sound, Jamalа, Lama and many other performers.
