**West Nusa Tenggara or NTB province.The Capital cities in Mataram, the area 19,708,790 km. The area consists of two large islands, Lombok and Sumbawa and other small islands. The boundaries are the Java Sea to the north, the Sape Strait to the east, the Straits in the west, and the Indonesian Ocean to the south.

NTB is divided into two cities, Mataram and Bima, as well as seven districts, namely West Lombok, Central Lombok, East Lombok, Sumbawa, West Sumbawa, Dompu and Kabupaten Provinces established under Law Number 64 this is one of the three provinces in the Nusa Tenggara Islands. Other provinces are the province of Bali, and Nusa Tenggara Timur. The population of approximately 4,492,800 inhabitants in 2007
**The majority of the population convert to Islam.Hindus, Catholics, Christians. The main livelihood of NTB people is agriculture. Other residents live as fishermen and ranchers. The main crops are rice, corn, cassava, sweet potatoes, peanuts, green beans, onions, vegetables, and fruits. **
The NTB region is largely made up of savannas. The climate is dry with a short period of rain. The highest rainfall occurs between December and January.
**In other months, rain rarely goes down. In Lombok Island consists of hills and mountains. Mount, among other Mount Mareje, Mount Punikan, Mount Timanuk, and Mount Timpola. Broadly speaking NTB culture is a blend of three major cultures, namely Hindu, Ancient Java. **
This is a result of NTB's past history of history which was once dominated by the Majapahit and Karangasem Empires based in Bali and the introduction of Islam spread by Sunan Prapen. son of Sunan Giri, at the beginning of the 16th century.
