Split Fresh and Saltwater in the Ocean
Split Fresh and Saltwater in the Ocean
The Gibraltar Strait is a strait that separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea. The name Gibraltar itself comes from the Arabic language "Jabel Tariq" which means Mount Tariq. This name refers to Tariq Bin Ziyad who succeeded in conquering Spain in 711.
The strange phenomenon of two unobtrusive seas in the Gibraltar Strait has attracted awe and amaze the world. Because the Strait of Gibraltar separates Africa and Europe, exactly between Morocco and Spain
The oceanographer has found that there is a certain difference between the water samples taken from the oceans by the British marine scientific expeditions.
In the Voyager voyage of 1873 it was known that the mass of sea water was different in its composition. The difference lies in salinity, concentration, temperature, and type of organism. The data is obtained from 362 oceanographic stations scattered around the world. The report from the Voyager expedition contains 29,500 pages, divided into 50 volumes and collected over 23 years. This expedition is one of the largest scientific exploration expeditions ever made by humans. This expedition also shows how little people are known about the oceans.
Modern science has found that in places where two oceans are
meet, there is a separating wall between the two seawater. The dividing wall divides two oceans so that each of the oceans remains stable with salinity, temperature, and concentration respectively. For example, the Mediterranean sea is a sea of warm, salty sea, and its concentration is lower than that of the Atlantic ocean. When water from the Mediterranean Sea enters the Atlantic Ocean through the Gibraltar Strait, the water is entered hundreds of kilometers away at a depth of about 1000 M, but remains at its own temperature, concentration, and degree of salinity which is different from the characteristics of water from the Atlantic Ocean.

A field study has also been conducted in the bay of Oman and in several bays in Arabia. From the seawater sample, there is a difference that indicates the truth of the previous findings.
The famous Oceanographer from France, J.Costeau states:
"We studied some statements from the previous oceanographer regarding the barrier between the two oceans, we conducted an investigation on the Mediterranean Sea. We find that the ocean has its own salinity levels, and the concentration level, as well as flora and fauna differs from water from the Atlantic oceans. Later, we examined the Atlantic Ocean and discovered that it had its salinity and concentration and its own flora and fauna differs from the Mediterranean Sea. And we then examined the points of the two seas in the Strait of Gibraltar, we expect to find the degree of salinity and concentration that are united between the two oceans, but we find that it turns out that each of these oceanic water still has its own characteristic level, as if there is a wall which limits them. This surprised us, this barrier prevents two mixed seas. The same is true of Bab Bab El Mandab Bay in Aden which is a meeting with the Red Sea.
"According to our conclusions, the results of the previous oceanographer's studies were true. Specific marine seals have a barrier that prevents mixed water from the two different characteristics
