Wonder Woman

Nobody asks me to do this stuff. The great Greg Capullo couldn’t pick me out of a lineup ... and the only interaction I’ve ever had with the powerful DC Comics is a number of incredibly polite rejection letters in my early 20’s.

I do this stuff because it feels good to do it. Taking a pencil sketch of an #artist I admire - and inking it — teaches me things.

I make a good living as an artist - but this realm - the magical land of comic books is a paradise I’ve never entered. But, like my ill-mannered barbaric forefathers, I will always be knocking on the gates!

The black and white is my inking — the concept and masterful pencils are ALL Greg Capullo - this is his work - I’m just a happy pen-toting pilgrim in a fantastic land not of my birth.

... also - in the Capullo sketch - Wonder Woman is decking some formidable figure ... I just made a panel that made sense without the context of a partial figure.
