Cat litter deodoriser
Cats are cute, funny, loving and tidy: the moment you put your little friend in its litter box, it instantly knows that's the place to do its thing.
Unfortunately "its thing" is no rose scent, and even if you have a closed litter box, it gets quite difficult to get rid of the smell, regardless of what litter you use. The cleaning part is not very pleasable also, and guess who has to do it? That's it: you.
So today I'll share the recipe of an easy, safe and effective cat litter deodoriser. It neutralizes the smell, helps keeping the litter box dry and clean, and trust me, cats love it.
What you'll need
- A (reused) plastic container
- 2 cups Baking soda
- An essential oil of your choosing
I use lavender or peppermint, but any oil should work! Eucalyptus or tea trea are great also
How to make

Put the baking soda in the container and mix it with a fork.

Add 20-25 drops of your essencial oils and mix again
Write the recipe on the container so you always know what's in there and it gets easy to refill
How to use
- Spread 1/4 cup of deodoriser on the bottom of the litter box. If it still smells, next time use 1/2 cup or more. It's non-toxic and cats love it, so no need to spare!

For sure! I have other recipes since I clean my house mostly with baking soda, soap, vinegar and essencial oils... Properly combined they work great and they're sustainable and safe!
