Animation | Under The Sea~
I'm sure you already know, that I'm an animator and I love watching cartoons. I'm like a grown-up kid who would always be drawn to cartoon series and stuff toys. When I tell my friends that I still watch cartoons, they would usually laugh at me. But to me, this is where it all started. I found my passion for animation while I was watching the best featured animated film back then called 'Toy Story'. The movie gain so much popularity and has since then set the standard for EVERY animated film that came out after that.
A few many years later, my passion for animation has come to past and now I'm creating these great shows for kids all over the world to watch. I always find satisfaction when I see kids enjoying the series I helped create. Just recently, a new tv series that was aired in Singapore started to garner many fans around the world who even drew fanart of the show. Now that's one thing I've never expected to do. That is to actually influence other creative minds to draw their favourite cartoons. I'm satisfied :)
I'm just going to keep this post a little simpler than the others and just share a thing or two about animators. One of the things you would notice about an animator on his/her desk is that it is always occupied with figurines. I mean we don't play with them, we just pose them next to us. It's like a 'thing' we animators do. I soon come to realize that it's pretty costly too.
The first ever figurine that I bought.
The Iron Man Mk V
Here is the Mk V activated. I usually prefer Big headed figurines. They're cute.
The War Machine accompanying with Mark V in the background.
And I decided to get one more model.
The Mark XVII
The packaging is already so badass. The detail and paint on the model is really good. And it's heavy too.
The Mark XVII at it's full form.
We are a pretty rare breed of talent. Many times our job scope and role gets misunderstood with graphic design, photography or videography. We can do all those, but we're like the specialist of the creative industry. Take for example, an orthopedic is a specialist doctor for the skeletal system. You don't just call them a normal doctor. Same like animators, we are not just general artist or designers.
But that's okay.
We will still keep the show running for those who have that childlike heart because that was the same way of how I found this passion of mine.
Have a good weekend!
Thank You

They are so cool!! @joelai would love them!
Well, without all of you "grown-up kid", we would not have cartoons or animation movies, so keep being who you are @zord189.
Hahaha! Didn't know @joelai is into these figurines as well. :O
She's a grown up kid like you, haha

Sometimes it is good to hold onto that childhood, sitting on my desk are Smurfs along with dogs all smiling back at me reminders every day to enjoy life.
Your selection is way more rad, each age has a different appeal, love the lighting projected.
I sure would love to get my hands on those The Mark series!!
Lovely!
Hey... I am in my sixties, and I still watch cartoons sometimes, too! 😁 The Iron Man figures are cool, but my fave in this post is the first one, Ariel, with her big eyes and cute smile! 😊
