Hello friends of Musical Wednesday! This week we will talk about protest songs, a musical genre that has always existed. I can not stop participating with Mario Benedetti's spectacular poem made song, "Te Quiero".
As last week, I will share with you the choral version of the official song, music by Alberto Favero and arrangement by Luliana Cangiano.
I hope you liked this beautiful song that reminds us of the struggle of a people under dictatorial regime, disguised with a love story. Really many people interpret the poem in their own way, however, for those who know the life of this artist exiled from their own country, we know that this song screams the need for freedom of a people. Thank you for reading these lines, and I look forward to them on the next Musical Wednesday of @engranaje.
